Hotel Marketing Manager

Location: Maidstone / Reading

Position Summary: The Hotel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that enhance the hotel’s brand presence, drive revenue, and attract target markets. This role covers digital and traditional marketing, partnerships, PR, and event promotions while working closely with the Sales and Revenue teams to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute marketing plans aligned with the hotel’s business objectives.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and guest insights to identify opportunities.
Define target audiences and implement campaigns to maximize occupancy and revenue.

Brand Management & Promotion
Ensure the hotel’s brand identity is consistently represented across all channels.
Manage creative content, photography, and collateral to showcase the property.
Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, tourism boards, and media.

Digital Marketing & Online Presence
Manage the hotel’s website, social media platforms, and digital advertising campaigns.
Oversee SEO/SEM strategies to improve online visibility.
Collaborate with OTAs and distribution partners to optimize presence and performance.
Monitor online reviews and guest feedback platforms (TripAdvisor, Google, etc.) to maintain brand reputation.

Sales Support & Revenue Growth
Work with the Sales and Revenue teams to create promotions and packages.
Develop marketing initiatives for rooms, F&B outlets, spa, and special events.
Track ROI of campaigns and adjust strategies to meet revenue targets.

Events, PR & Communication
Plan and promote hotel events, seasonal promotions, and partnership activities.
Coordinate PR activities and liaise with media outlets and influencers.
Prepare press releases, newsletters, and communication materials.

Analytics & Reporting
Monitor marketing performance metrics, campaign effectiveness, and guest engagement.
Present monthly/quarterly marketing reports to senior management.

Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of hospitality marketing and brand positioning
Expertise in digital marketing, social media, and content creation
Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills
Creative mindset with attention to detail
Analytical ability to measure campaign performance and ROI
Project management and organizational skills

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field (Master’s preferred)
4–6 years of experience in hospitality marketing or related industries
Proficiency in digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, social media platforms)
Experience with CRM, email marketing, and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is an advantage
Strong network within travel, media, and tourism sectors preferred
