Hotel Sales Manager

Location: Maidstone / Reading

Position Summary: The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and promoting the hotel’s services. This role focuses on corporate, leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events), and travel trade segments to achieve sales targets while supporting the overall commercial strategy of the property.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve room, F&B, and banquet revenue targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, leisure, and group markets.
Manage sales accounts, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
Conduct property site inspections and client presentations.

Client Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key accounts.
Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to build business connections.
Respond promptly to client inquiries, proposals, and requests.
Work with travel agencies, OTAs, and corporate clients to maximize bookings.

Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with the Revenue, Marketing, and Reservations teams to align sales strategies.
Coordinate with F&B and Banquet teams to promote event spaces and packages.
Provide input on pricing, promotions, and marketing campaigns.

Sales Administration & Reporting
Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts for management.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and client feedback.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems.

Guest Experience & Brand Promotion
Ensure sales activities reflect the hotel’s brand values and service standards.
Support VIP guest handling and special requests when required.
Contribute to marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaigns to enhance visibility.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field
3–5 years of hotel sales experience (corporate, MICE, or leisure segments)
Experience with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and MS Office
Strong network in corporate, travel, or MICE industries preferred
