Waiter / Waitress

Position Summary: The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing efficient, professional, and friendly food and beverage service to guests. This role ensures a positive dining experience by taking orders accurately, serving meals promptly, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality in all food and beverage outlets.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Dining Experience
Greet and welcome guests warmly, guiding them to their tables.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and provide recommendations when needed.
Serve meals, drinks, and accompaniments efficiently and courteously.
Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing requests, questions, or complaints promptly.

Operational Duties
Set up tables according to restaurant standards, including linens, cutlery, and glassware.
Clear and reset tables efficiently after guests leave.
Assist in buffet setups, banquets, or special events as required.
Follow service procedures, portion control, and presentation standards.

Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and supervisors for smooth service.
Communicate guest preferences, allergies, or special requests accurately.
Support team members during peak service times to maintain efficiency.

Cleanliness & Hygiene
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
Follow hygiene, safety, and food handling regulations.
Ensure proper storage and handling of food and beverages.

Upselling & Promotions
Inform guests of daily specials, promotions, or seasonal offerings.
Encourage add-ons or upsell items to enhance revenue.

Skills & Competencies
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong communication and active listening abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and a professional appearance
Teamwork and adaptability
Basic numeracy for billing and order handling

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
